which for a player who they could sign for free in 6 months isn't bad
I wouldn't have paid much more than that, when the team is fit he isn't an upgrade over a partnership of Gallas/King, King/Dawson, or Gallas/Dawson
Dawson struggles without those two because playing with Kaboul neither have pace so Cahill would help there, but in reality he still would have been 3rd/4th choice.
Would rather wait a year and sign someone like Shawcross or Kjaar
