I didn't say eat it, you can spoil it by voting for more than one person on the ballot. That way you can tell your conscience that you've fulfilled your responsibility as a citizen by showing up at the voting booth while at the same time not really voting for anyone. Although I don't necessarily endorse this practice it's still better than staying home because of apathy.
