Its the same as that chick running Flames Central last spring who thought itd be cool to make it all pro-Vancouver for the playoffs. This is what happens when non-sports fans are put in charge of sports-related venues. They just end up making complete asses of themselves, whether they realize it or not (probably not, because they're idiots, and clearly phony sports fans).

Man that stuff grinds my gears, you'd NEVER see that happen in the States.
I think decorating a private facility like FC (although that never happened but I digress) is much worse than purchasing ad space.

Most billboards in Calgary are run by Pattison AFAIK and I can't see why they'd be overly concerned. It is entirely possibel that the person responsible for booking the ad space isn't even based out of Calgary. For all we know they are based in Edm or TO.

I certainly think it does reflect poorly on the company, in terms of their image in Calgary, for doing so though. Although maybe they don't care? It is all in good fun afterall.

Perhaps the recent violence at NFL games in the States and the fact that you said that the billboard would never happen in the US is a sign that they take their sports a little too seriously.

On the Fan this morning they made this very point. The CFL is all about good natured rivalries and the "our league" mentality. I just hope this doesn't cause any undue violence towards EE fans, however unlikely, because they probably had nothing to do with the billboard.
