Also along the same line of thought, I wish people that want to stand on an escalator would stand on the right, so people that want to walk can pass on the left. It works that way a lot of places in the world, but Calgary doesn't seem to follow that unwritten rule.

This might be the only thing about Edmonton transit that's better than Calgary. The escalators in their LRT stations have signs saying to do this. (stand right, walk left) Why do people run out of the train at top speed so you can get to the escalator first, and then stand on the left? People behind you are missing their bus.
