I work for a company called Terex Mining (German based). I talk to Germans everyday. I know exactly how and what their everyday lives consist of, and let me tell you....you WISH you were German right now my friend.
They have a great transportation industry (they use a C-Train but faster), which goes to every single little dick town in Germany which greatly reduces pollution.
Recycle bins are a must, you are frowned upon if you throw your paper in a waste basket.
The way they treat their Black Forest is amazing. They do it the right way...the natural way. They actually let the trees grow and never over-exploit their resources.
The people I know their all seem to have great high paying jobs and no complaints. The whole country shares the sense of, "earth first."
I would rather have that reputation for my country rather then the reputation which was recently stated about Canada which is, "Canada is growteskly overweight."
That's disgusting, fat people in Canada are the exact metaphor for where our country is headed.........maybe we should all take a lesson from our German friends.
