And I like the demo so far. The skating feels different to me, a little heavier which is a tad more realistic then 11 and the game speed is slower which is a little more realistic as well.
I found the players to be a bit bigger too making it seem like there is less room on the ice, they actually look like full grown adults now.
My first game Chara put Burrows through the glass, and on the next play Lucic broke Raymond in half. Great game IMO

Thanks for articulating it better than I could. I knew the skating was quite a bit different, but didn't really know how to describe it.
I'm having a blast playing the demo. The minor details has made the game awesome. For example, traffic in front of the net, some new hitting/balance physics, and my personal favourite: players start labouring when they've been on the ice too long. They'll put their heads down and lumber to the bench.
Overall, the minor changes have made the game a ton better. Sort of like the new hitting physics in Madden 12.
