Oh man, I'd KILL for a Trader Joe's - I love that place. I've only been in Whole Foods once, so no real opinion of that store. Does Calgary need more high-end stores, though? With Sunterra and a crapload of boutique type food stores (Janice Beaton, Latrewe etc), I think there are enough.
We're pretty much Safeway shoppers with a bit of Co-op thrown in - we like Co-op's prepared meat section better than Safeway. Being downtown, there aren't any Sobeys, Costco or Superstore supermarkets close enough for our everyday shopping. Superstore and Costco make me a bit stabby though, so it's just as well.
