Hey guys!
I have been going to the gym for the last 2 months or so and am starting to see results. I haven't been going about my workout entirely properly but I don't think it did any harm.
I am currently doing 20 mins cardio on recumbent bike and 40+ minutes weight training on machines (Lat pull down, vertical row, bench press, pec deck, shoulder press, leg press). I have started out at twice a week but I am going to start going five days a week starting Monday.
I have been doing some reading this weekend and discovered I have been doing far too many reps at too low weight (I was doing 50+ reps/set on some machines).
So I have read in multiple places 15 reps/set should be max and you should ensure your muscles are fatigued by the last rep.
I am a gym noob. My goals are weight loss, strengthening my upper body, and endurance.
Any tips from the veterans to hone my workout? Should I do a session with a personal trainer?
