Every time I tune in to Conan (about once every couple weeks) I keep hoping it's going to feel like the old Late Night show, or even the Tonight show, where you didn't know from night to night what was going to happen, but you knew it was going to be awesome. But it's always the same audience interaction "hey, sometime we should do a whole show just of wooing", a so-so standup (never his strong side), and then some lame skit with the same tired actors. And without strong guests to keep me interested, I've found myself turning it off about fifteen minutes in. I really, really want him to be funny, but it's just not happening.
