Speaking of awkward, I met about 1/2 of the flames in Vancouver at a bar that will remain not named. But Jay Boumeester is every bit awkward as you see in the media, must be his personality and not his "drive". Jamal Mayers seemed to be cranky. Nigel Dawes was actually pretty cool.
The highlight of my night absolutly had to be talking to Miikka and receiving a drink from him after we talked and mentioned that we drove from Calgary to watch them (in a meaningless final game of the season in Vancouver).
Others I met that night Matt "damon" Stajan, Nik Hagman, Curtis Glencross's little bro (who I mistook for brett sutter haha) I believe Regher was there but hard to remember how he acted. haha Ian "stache" White was drinking Pil if I remember right, kinda suits him.
Ohhhh and I felt really bad when I asked Vesa Toskola if he was going to get the start (since it was the last game of the year on the road and kipper had been played alot) and I got a "No" followed by a sad face haha.
I don't think I'll ever run into that many NHLers at once again.
oh and this was 2010 april
