One thing that bothers me about those Olys is that during the opening ceremonies when the Canadian athletes passing Hitler all gave him the "heil, Hitler" sign. Though to be fair, lots of countries were doing it (though not all, the Americans never did it), and we did start making up for it 3 years later.
EDIT: Just watching a clip of the '36 Opening Ceremonies, its got a very unsettling vibe to it. Weird how every country looks like they're marching, almost looks like they're military. You'd never see that now. Here's the 5min clip for anyone interested (I didn't see Canada in there)
