I never quite understood why he was rated and not being able to translate his game to pro coming out of college.
He was a extremely smart QB with decent scrambling ability but everybody wrote him off because of his size, arm strength, and delivery mechanics.
Personally I would much rather have the QB who can read the field and is a good field general, then the QB who is 6'4" with a cannon arm that has no idea how to read the defense.
Of course the true franchise guys are the ones who combine both, but I think the smart QB's can be successful regardless of natural size and ability. (See Drew Brees)
