Walt's blitzed diatribe at dinner sounded like he was maybe aware of what he was saying. He might be hoping that Hank will lead the law enforcement to Gus and take him down, assuming that he is actually Heisenberg. Walt would want this to get rid of the looming threat of Gus hanging over his head when he eventually decides to retire or not from meth cooking.

The video montage reminded me of those Saturday Night Live skits of Toonces the Driving Cat.
That was kind of my point before the season started about Jesse being expendable from Gus' point of view. He needs Walt, all Walt needs is an assistant. Except after last nights episode, sort of proves he doesn't need an assistant at all, other than for the fork lift operating.

I'm not sure of Gus' plan either for Jesse. I thought initially it was to pull him back from the edge, but why would he care? Is he trying to turn him against Walt? That's really the only thing I can figure that could come from this new job responsibility for Jesse.

I'm not sure I buy into Walt wanting to lead Hank to Gus during the dinner conversation. I think he was drunk and he's arrogant and he didn't like someone else getting credit. I suppose he could now spin it that way though, now that Hank is back into the case and about to knock on Gus' door, but I don't think that was initial intention.

I don't know what Toonces the Driving cat is so I don't know if you are agreeing or disagreeing with what I wrote.

True, but it's possible the great Heisenberg had given the recipe to others before his demise. Same product doesn't mean that Heisenberg isn't dead, just that the recipe isn't. But yes, I suppose it would keep the investigation into that particular drug ring open.
