Haynesworth is set to earn $1.5 million in base salary this season, nearly $4 million less than the $5.4 million he earned with the Redskins last season. The contract is heavily incentive laden, however, allowing Haynesworth to earn back his money depending on how many snaps he plays this season.

Why would you do that if you're Haynesworth? give up guaranteed money for incentive laden deal? So he has to actually play now? not good for a guy who didn't care anymore. Maybe now he does.
