Yes Crab Apple fights with home made sling shots rubber tubing, a leather patch and bent bike forks that was great. Somebody mentioned rock fights and dirt balls, what boy didn't do that. It was always funny hitting a kid with a dirtball in the hair. We had a rule when it came to rock fights though no throwing rocks at the head/face. If that happened there was always a fight afterwards. None of this several kids/teens attacking 1 kid or so and kicking them in the head. None of that garbage. A real honest fist fight.
Our generation as kids definatly had thicker skin.
I remember one of my friends jumping his BMX off a ramp over a empty basement foundation off a ramp and all the parents came outside to watch him do it.
