I really get pissed off at those 'herbal' places that charge an absolute fortune for junk with little or no scientific basis for claiming they help with weight loss:

What bothers me most is that people try these things out of desperation, they ultimately fail, and the people give up. The group I belong to (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) simply got me doing exactly what you said "quit stuffing your face and get more exercise". That is what they are all about. However, we don't have the resources to put ads in the newspaper, or on the buses, or on billboards. It's the snakeoil salesmen that have the resources to sell their fake cures, while those with the real cure have nothing to sell at all. Every time I see an ad for "Herbal Magic", or "Herbal One" or even "Dr. Bernsteins" ... they enrage me to see people pay soooo much money for very bad advice. But they have the money to do it.
