Point about the tape thing is: tape it all, hit the wall you're working, strip it out (5-10 minutes elapsed)...no residue, no bleed, $1.29/roll. The tape I prefer is "American Tape" brand, but it's the "cheap" high-tack variety. 3M's "Highland" is also great stuff.
ICI does actually make a decent product...you just have to be willing to pay for it.
Like I said...it's all about the emulsion content. That's what sets the bar for the manufacturer's, in terms of how they can afford to price their product.

Yup, the 3M stuff is good. The other cheap stuff is total crap - can't even pull it off with wet paint without screwing something up.
I bought Frogtape, and it works much better than anything else I've ever used.
On the other hand I've gotten pretty damned good at cutting transitions without tape.
