You're totally justified. This is the polar-opposite to my thread I posted a month or so ago about my neighbour complaining in the middle of the day about a stereo not breaking 70 dB in my own living room.
Edit: Get out a video camera with a good audio pickup so it can hear the music coming from upstairs. Film yourself flipping the breaker and the music going dead. Ensure you keep the film rolling as the people upstairs realise what has happened so you can capture the magic of their reaction. Post it on CP.
