It'd start with one guy trying to catch/tag everyone else. Once you were tagged, you were part of his team trying to catch everyone else. The game would end with one guy remaining that wasn't caught. He'd be the winner and crowned the sole survivor.

We played a massive game of that during a school camping trip one year, grade 6 I think. 90+ students.. it was amazing.
I loved my neighborhood growing up. It seemed every 2nd house had kids within one year age of my brother and I. One kid and his brothers had a half pipe they built in their back yard, behind that is where I saw my first titty!
