I grew up on a cresent that very little traffic. We would play street hockey up to 7 nights a week depending on the road conditions during the winter. The worst part was missing the net and having to run after the ball - especially if it was a slap shot. In grade 6 we organised a tournamnet with other streets in our area. It was like our version of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Of course games would get heated and fights would break out and someone often went home with a bloody nose.
