What about the cool second cousin of murder ball, over the fence? You'd have teams set up on either side of the baseball diamond backstop and they would take turns throwing the ball over. If the players on the other side couldn't catch it, they were out (don't remember how the scoring worked). Every school seemed to have one legendary kid that could throw the ball entirely way too far. For us it was the 6th grader, Skinner. Everybody always wanted Skinner on their team. My buddy Adam had a pretty good arm as well, and he earned the nickname mini-Skinner.
