Well I grew up on a farm in NS and did lots of dumb things. I would go running through the back woods all the time hunting for snakes and such and there were a few ponds that we would hunt for frogs in to feed to the snakes. We never got to see one eat a frog though but it was fun to try.
I remember riding on the wheel well of the tractors as my dad drove them around. This was fun in the fields because they were bumpy and I fell off a few times. I remember falling off once and rolling back to see the fully loaded hay wagon about 5 feet away about to get me. I rolled out of the way just in time. My dad stops the tractor and says "That was close eh? Next time you'll hold on better won't you?"
When I was 8 or 9 I was then old enough to drive the tractor so that was fun as well. I was slow and steady while others were around but as soon as I was by myself I would spin donuts and just let er rip in the fields.
Another time a friend of mine and I got the idea that we should go to Moncton for fun but we could not find a ride so we told our parents that we were staying the night at the others place and got on our bikes and rode there. Looking at google maps that is about 70KM. We rode all the way there then hung out at the mall for a couple hours and got bored so we biked home. We got back into town around midnight and since we both told our parents we were staying at the others house overnight we could not go home. We got the idea to take a tent that was in his shed and set it up in the woods for the night.
Back on the farm I remmeber other things like running through the hay mounds and swinging from a rope swing into the big piles of hay. One time we were running though the second level of the barn where we stored some hay. There were chutes in the floor that we would throw the hay through to the bottom level. Anyways my brothers and I were running through there and all off a sudden my brother disappeared. I go to where I saw him last and see him on the cement floor of the first level screaming in pain. He wound up breaking his collar bone. This actually happened to both my brothers on separate times, not me though.
There are other stories as well but this is all I can type for now.
