Those of us from montreal are probably all too familiar with this piece of work. Turns out that after only 50 years the Champlain bridge needs to be replaced to the tune of about $1.5 billion which of course they want the federal government to foot the bill for.
My biggest complaint is that montreal has a track record for construction projects being done poorly and way over budget and 50 years doesn't seem like a long time such that the entire thing will need to be replaced.
