The computer is a dell XPS 8300, there are two versions. One with 8 gigs and one with 12. I bought the twelve because it came with a free HD 24" monitor.
I've been focused on the 6950 2 GB. I'll be going to memory express tomorrow to talk it over with them and see what they recommend.
