Seems like a rash of ethnic-based crime to me, which isn't out of the ordinary. Calgary had a similar problem a few years ago, where there was a rash of violence that mostly involved Southeast Asian gangs.
Once again I reiterate that murders and violence in Calgary seem to have been curbed a bit since the deportation of Jackie Tran last year. Maybe Edmonton has a scapegoat they can kick out too?
