Mark Zuckerberg seems to have the idea that we should all just assume that we have no social privacy and deal with it. 6-7 figure people using it? I hope its not for IP, because you shouldn't. When I was working on a project for a possible startup, we had to talk in code because you lose IP once its sent over gmail.

Its funny you talk about monopolies... because g+ was google's defense for fb being a monopoly.

Anyways, I'm making the change too. Fb video ads that pop up on their own piss me off. There's still a lot more to come for g+... but googlers are being tight lipped about it.
Maybe I should correct that a bit. If I have Joe Smith in front of me he will still have the email Joe.Smith @jumbolawfirmllc as his work, but as personal email addresses, I see a ton of professionals using gmail as their alternates. I don't like getting work addresses, as I find it annoying as do most, getting personal mail in their work inbox.

I just feel when I log into facebook now, I am walking onto the grounds of a crappy state fair. It just feels so childish, cluttered, and unprofessional. I dunno, I just really like the sterile "feel" that google, and gmail have. I hoping for the same with google+.
