Dealing with the City of Calgary is a very frustrating undertaking. I leased city-owned commercial property from 1995 to 2003. An issue came up that left the city in what I feel was a pretty severe conflict of interest. I shot off e-mails and telephone messages and was met with an underwhelming wall of apathy. I wish I had done what Shawn did and went to the media on the first hop.
