Yeah I thought that was odd too. They built up a rift for most of the episode and suddenly it just vanished based on a quick sentence. They didn't really acknowledge what the problem was. This show has done it before with the Vince and Eric rifts. I can't remember what season it was that Eric quit as Vince's manager but they pretty much cleared the air within an episode...seemed like too easy of a resolution for all the time they put into making the rift happen.
