Now a rumor pops up about him coming back and it's immediately shot down by his agent and somehow Favre did something wrong? Give me a break. If his agent hadn't said anythig it would be 'C'mon Brett, if the rumors aren't true say so'. The guy will never win with some people.
Unfortunatley he's brought that on himself. When he left the Packers the first time he stayed away and dint' do anything. Then all of a sudden about a month before camp he calls McCarthy and says he wants to come back. That offseason he did an interview with Maruicci where he specifically asked him if the Packers called what would he do and he said while it was tempting he was retired. I cna't find the link but there was an interview he did after his season with the Jets where he said there was no chance he was coming back.

Keep in mind this goes back to even pre - retirment sage talk. His last few years with the Pack he was very open about not wanting to come to Ota's and training camp. When McCarthy came in, Favre complained back then about doing Mini Camps, OTAs and training camp and would drag out his retirment with the Packers. Combine that with some of his "off field" issues, I think people have good reason to have things against Favre. And this is coming from a person who is a Packers fan because of Brett Favre. I use to adore the guy, but unfortunatley his actions I think have been less than spectacular for about 8 years now.

Again, i'm not saying that this report is true it probably is not. I'm not saying Favre planted it, all i'm saying is that it would fit with what's been happening for many years now. I agree with what you said above is that teams like the Vikings are just as much as fault as Favre, but I also don't think you can help that people are going to feel this is "here we go again".
