This puts them at roughly 1/10th the iPad's monthly sales over the last three months.

The Transformer is arguably the first legitimate challenger that can go head to head with the iPad, but it still has fewer apps, fewer third party accessories (people like their cases, stands, skins, etc - it's a huge market in its own right), its bigger, heavier, and it's also predominantly plastic. And I can't get a 3G one.

It's death by a thousand little cuts like this that hurts something like the Transformer from grabbing more market share when a consumer sizes up the two tablets side by side. That's why I say it still doesn't hold a candle to the iPad. I didn't say its no good - but all the iPad competitors have a ways to go yet if they want to sell more than 1/10th the market leaders numbers monthly.

That being said, I wonder how the market would look if all of these tablets had hit the market at the same time as the original iPad - that roughly 1 year lead time gave Apple a huge head start in mind and market share.
