Losing to Edmonton sucks but this lost could be a blessing in disguise for the Stamps. They won 2 games pretty much in the 4th quarter and the 2 loses the lost are close as well. I think there is a complacency in this group both on offense and defense. Stamps are also shooting their foot on unnecessary penalties. I saw a few of them roughing the passers that Stamps D could have pull away but instead went to hit Ricky Ray late. If you are going to hit him late, you might as well go for the big hit.
The last 4 games and Burris either overthrowing or underthrowing the ball or the receivers are going on the wrong route or not catching/dropping the catchable ball. Offensive Coordinator Dave Dickerson doesn't seem to use Joffrey Reynolds or Joffrey Reynolds as much as they are supposed to be. Burris is struggling at times and sometimes it helps to relieve the pressure on Burris when the team gets a good running game. Problem is, Reynolds is a type of RB who gets better with more touches. Defense on the other hand got burned a few plays in the last few games but they tend to get better in the second half. MLB Juwan Simpson been struggling a bit this season but he is not alone. Nothing to worry on this group because i think they will get better as a group. Kicker Rene Paredes. Wow, what a storyline this guy have. In his first game everything he does seems to turn into gold.... good on his first field goal try on 50 yards now he can't even hit an easy field goal and he can't even do proper kickoff.
I don't think blaming one player on this lost is fair. The whole team and even the coaching staff are the ones to blame. Better cut down the penalties and Burris and the receivers better practice harder or the struggles will continue. Coach Dickerson and Hufnagel better get back on the drawing board for offensive schemes.
