It's about the fall of the Aztec empire, courtesy of Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes, and is written in narrative, created from dozens and dozens of first hand accounts and letters/journal entries done by Cortes and many of the men with him. While Aztec society didn't have a true, full written language pre-contact, keeping their side more minimized, there are still some entries from some Aztecs who were there during the fall of Tenochtitlan, giving you a sense of the Aztec view of the fall of their empire.
