Anyways, unless its not a truly broken back I don't see how he can rehab it, and I think that there isn't enough time in the movie for Batman to find a replacement for batman give him a backstory and train him.

I know that Batman gets a broken back in the comics, but it wasn't an instant replacement for Batman was it?

Hey, have we seen Commissioner Gordon's daughter yet, or does his son get a sex change operation in order to become Batgirl?

...I don't have an answer for the whole Catwoman origin. It will be interesting to see how they bring her in.

I wasn't saying that he would have a true replacement. Maybe there is no replacement at all and the criminals run wild? I think it would be a lot cleaner if there was no official Batman replacement while he is out of it, like you said there is not enough time to do a backstory and train someone. Unless they were some random vigilante and didn't give much of a back story? Maybe Azrael just takes it upon himself to try and keep the streets safe and has no real connection to Batman?

Or maybe there is no broken back at all and Batman just got his ass kicked by Bain and said screw it and retired for a bit?...
