Dog crap + greaseball dilemma
So on Wed. I was out walkinig my dog and I was across the park, which is right outside my back gate. I see this dude walking a huge looking Collie type dog and it looks like from where I was he let it take a dump right outside my back gate. When I got back to my place sure enough there was a huge pile of dog turd right there. So that was at 6:30 pm.
So last night I am hanging out in my garage at around the same time, and the same guy comes walking up again, but this time he goes about 50 feet past, lets his dog of it's leash, dog takes a big crap on the grass in the park and then he puts it back on the leash leaving the crap. He's looking around the whole time, so I think he is at least cognizant of what he is doing. The guy looks like a greaseball and could probably take me out in a few seconds, so a physical altercation is out.
I watched him walk around the park and head out another exit. I got on my bicycle and followed him and he walked about 2 blocks from the park. I kept a distance and didn't see exactly which house he went in, but I have a good idea in amongst about 4.
First thing I am going to do before I do anything else is figure out exactly which house he lives in.
Now, what to do after that. Here's some ideas.
- I could video him with his dog, and send that to the bylaw officer along with his address.
- I could approach him in the park, without giving away where I live and call him out on it, but I don't like the idea of him knowing who I am.
- Here's the one I was thinking of. I will bag his dog crap and leave it in his mailbox with a note.... Clean up after your dog or the next time it won't be in a bag, or in your mailbox.
thoughts?
