I hate paying for car repairs - you don't end up with anything more - you are just paying to maintain your current situation.

My wife was trying to get the attention of a friend in an apartment on the 2nd floor. She thought she could toss a pebble into the window to alert them - but selected a stone a little too big and it went clean through. That was a $800 touch that was tough to swallow.
