As some have already pointed, care to back any of this up? Regardless of what you think about these people's positions entailed, they are still human beings and now are forced to find means of income in a pretty harsh economy.
I'm also a little surprised at how simple some people view this. Cutting 1200 government jobs doesn't just remove costs from government. Many of those funds reappear in the form of people being given severance pay, applying for social assistance, etc.
Again, not saying I disagree with the decision, but perhaps hold off on the sparklers and streamers.
