As a person who does an annual trip with a group of friends to eat and drink this is one topic I am glad to help with
#1 Do not miss POK POK it is on SE Division st if you like Thai food and even if you don't this is an absolute must. You must have the wings they have been voted the best appetizer it the US. They are amazing. It is busy every night if you must wait a couple of hours go to the bar across the street they own to wait, they will call you when your table is ready. I can't stress this enough if you are going for food go here, DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!
2.try a food truck they are all really good and some interesting fusion ideas. My favourite is Koi, it is a mexican,korean fusion food truck, amazing food. Go on their facebook page that day and they will tell you where you are. But truly try the food trucks they will suprise you.
3. the japanese gardens are a nice place to go for a walk to work off a meal
4.they have a really nice MSL stadium now if you are into that
4.my favourite hotel is the Hotel Deluxe and they have a great lounge with amazing cocktails and the bartender muddles his own stuff at the bar.
5. every place is casual you never need to dress up,if you tip 20% you are a god down there and the service is great everywhere you go
6. if you are driving do some shopping at Trader Joe's they have some very good products and the prices are incredible. Your wife would love it. It is my favourite grocery store.
