That's what I mean though. The crime is SO UGLY that you're tricked into believing that it couldn't happen. There's no way a mother would kill their own child this way. There must be something else to it, there must be a mistake. You end up looking for doubt as more and more evidence rolls in. And if the prosecution does a poor job, then it's easy to find doubt.
