As for the evidence, I haven't exactly been sitting in the court room, but IS there any when it comes to this specific defence of molestation?

I'm not a defense lawyer, but I find it incredibly pathetic that someone is vilified for doing their job and affording the accused the rights that they have been granted. It would be much better if those accused of crimes were simply left to their own defense wouldn't it? That seems like a system based upon notions of justice.
I haven't read the transcript, but as stated before, unless there is a reasonable basis for the claim making it is essentially asking for his license to practice to be revoked. This isn't a trial about past molestation, you don't need to present particular evidence to support every statement made. If the prosecution beleived it to be without merit it would have been objected to and stricken.
