If they want those allegations to actually impact the case, then yes, evidence would probably be somewhat helpful. And while it may be convenient the thing I took issue with was your statement directed at the attorney, someone doing thir job and providing the accused with the right to competent defense that they are due. And you condemn them for it. Classy.
Maybe you'd be happier if the defense attorney decided to omit some possible arguments. That would work out great, then we could all enjoy a lengthy appeal based on an ineffective assistance of counsel claim. If that failed we could then enjoy another lengthy appeal on the sentencing aspect, again based on ineffective assistance of counsel. Yeah, that sounds like a great outcome.
