I don't got to malls very often and even less now that I purchase nearly all my books, gaming, DVD's, Blu-rays, etc via amazon.ca/com.
The odd time I'll swing by to grab something when I've got the day off and my first reaction is "who the *&^$ are all these people and don't they work?!"
That being said, fair enough on the eye candy factor.
