Why don't you look at the TV when it is on, to determine if it looks good or not? If it doesn't, then call Telus and get someone sent out to take a look. Baring that, I am sure you could get the signal to noise ratio from the installer (who should have no problems giving ti to you) and then check with someone in the know, like in this thread, to see if it is suitable.
If you have that little faith in the company, perhaps another provider is in your best interest.
