Lind is hitting just like Bautista was earlier in the year. Although with Lind he has always shown an ability to drive the ball to all fields, which in theory should make him a better candidate to hit a few more home runs and post a better batting average. He had a terrible first half last year, but in the second half and the first half of this year he's right in line with his 2009 season. Nothing wrong with a guy who hits over 300, knocks 35 out of the park and gives you a 920+ OPS playing first base. Given what the Jays are spending on Lind and what the big boys pay their first baseman the Jays are getting value, even though Texeira and Gonzalez are two of the most productive hitters in the bigs.
