Oh, BTW, I responded as soon as I read this. Not sure if you've already answered this in a later post.
No Joke. I heartily prefer Manning to Harper. I even voted for the man, despite hating his party's guts.

Manning has actually shifted somewhat to Green policies and ideas. Just like me Thats why I like him. I'm no raging Communist that thinks the NDP are the Left's answer. I prefer 'smart-left' as opposed to 'dumb-left', and thats what I think the difference between the Greens and NDP is. As far as I'm concerned (and I'm in the ultra-minority), I see the Greens as the answer to most Canadian's 'voting dilemma'. Many, many people have said to me "I'm socially liberal, but fiscally conservative". I find a lot of these concepts come to fruition in the Green platform.

Though there are serious issues w/ the Green Party currently; mostly that half of them are eco-nuts who believe humans should die before animals/plants (exaggeration, but with enough truth to be a significant problem imo). But if you check out some of their economic stuff, I think they're headed in the right direction, with things like Full Cost Accounting and Cradle 2 Cradle Manufacturing.

But that's just my opinion on the matter. I can't say I've extensively researched the NDP platform as I have the Green.
