Pelech is most definitely an asset and needed at the AHL level. There are a lot of young studs out to prove them selves and try taking advantage of some of the smaller players on the heat.
Pelech's presence keeps them honest or he makes them pay for their indiscretion.
He gives the young guy's the confidence to go out and do their job and know that they will be supported.
Plus he's just fun to watch and I don't think he was so far from making the team, back when Pardy did, if not for his injury then he may have made it.
