Mayweather got a free pass because of his potential and has been severely overrated. It was like yeah IF Mayweather fought Cotto he would totally dominate because of his speed and defense and IF Mayweather fought Pacquaio he would totally dominate and IF Mayweather fought Forrest..... you know.
He is also hated because of his defense first style. Sure it's great to watch on Friday nite fights for free but if he wants to be considered a superstar you better fight like one and against other superstars and not those fighters he has fought.
Pacquaio had huge problems making weight to fight Marquez the 2nd time. Thats why he moved up in weight and went the Diaz, Delahoya route.
