You truly think Palin knows anything about running an economy? If she for example sat at the helm as president during the recent economic crisis would you imagine her doing anything less than a disastrous job?

She went to the oil companies who were demanding concessions and had been for years before they would develop some of their holdings. She forced them to develop now or lose the right-away they needed for a pipe line to their wells. Basically their oil would be worthless.
She then raised taxes on them. Yes that's right! A republican raised taxes on oil companies. She than took a part of that tax revenue and distributed it evenly to every Alaskan young and old in the form of yearly oil revenue checks.
Pretty common sense moves from a simple country girl but, very effective.
