Any credit statements from a financial institution MUST be mailed out to the customers. Along with certain investment documents.
People are quick to say Canada Post and the service they provide is soon to be no longer needed. I believe it's the opposite.
If you aren't going to a brick & mortar store to buy your stuff somebody has to deliver it to your home.

That is false. I work for an FI and bank statements/credit card statements will not be mailed out. You can get them online or pick them up at a branch. anyone who orders cheques or needs a new credit card will have to wait until the strike is over. Anyone with GICs or a mtg renewal will get a phone call instead.
As long as you can access it via online, pick it up in branch or get the info over the phone there is no legal requirement to send it out via mail.
