I come to the last page of this thread expecting some good discussion and see Canuck discussions. Sigh.
Having watched Jay's interview regarding this debacle, it's disappointing that Erixon's camp had their mind set long before the discussions ever took place. Not only is it a blindside, it's a big middle finger to the organization that essentially handcuffed Feaster in terms of his options moving forward.
As far as the return, I'm quite happy with what we received. I'm quite pissed off, however, that we lost an NHL caliber defenceman for entirely selfish reasons. While I don't wish him the worst, I hope he gets a taste of humble pie when the rangers realize that this kid may need some time in the AHL (See: Del Zotto).
This fiasco has left a sour taste in my mouth and a tip of the hat to our GM for making best of an otherwise terrible situation.
