When the highlight of a stretch of road is Regina, you're in for it.
Doing this trip at the end of this month. I am dreading the drive to there and hopefully my SUV doesn't get stolen or vandalized with out of province plate (attracts car thieves like mosquito to fresh blood).

My best road trip was when we lived in 'Peg. Peg to Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Niagara Falls, TO, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec city, Moncton, PEI, Maine, Boston, Buffalo, and back to Chicago, etc. Put close to 10 000km in 17 days. Priceline worked like a charm as we stayed in Chicago/Minneapolis/Boston for $35/night in Sheraton and Hilton.

Last year's trip was decent. Cgy to LV, Grand Canyon, San Diego, LA, SF, and back. Put 7500 km in 2 weeks. It was scorching in Arizona..hit 42C in early July, according to car thermometer.
